The Salsa! event is being organized by a team of post-graduate students from George Brown College’s Sport and Event Marketing Program. This 12-month certificate program prepares students to succeed in a variety of corporations, not-for-profit organizations, and sport and entertainment related industries. Through the Event Planning and Management course, students are introduced to the principles, concepts and steps involved in planning and executing successful events. The culminating task, while under the guidance of knowledgeable instructors, is to organize and host a charitable event.

Our team consists of five members, all of whom bring a variety of previous experiences in the event marketing and management industry. These experiences, combined with the teachings of the Event Planning and Management course and the support of our two charity organizations, have provided a solid foundation on which to build a successful and memorable event.
